Partner - James E. Young

James E. Young (jyoung@smymlaw.com) graduated with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Government from the California State University at Sacramento. He graduated with a Juris Doctorate from the University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law. Prior to his practice, James was a teacher at Sacramento Country Day School. James has exclusively represented public and private schools and employees throughout California for over a decade. While his practice involves all matters relating to charter schools, his focus is labor and employment law, labor relations, student matters, board governance, constitutional issues, and the investigation and resolution of parent, community, and employee complaints.
